The main office of Cole Harrison Insurance is situated on Main Street in Kennebunk, Maine. The business is managed by partners James Harrison, Robert Foley, John Kreie and Patrick Foley. This team brings more than 80 years of combined insurance experience to the agency, as well as a passion for serving their community.
Cole Harrison Insurance has satellite offices in Kittery and Carrabassett Valley, Maine. Add in the experience of Dave Fazzina, who manages the Kittery office, and Jim Wilson, who manages the Carrabassett Valley office, and the Cole Harrison management team has more than 100 years of combined experience. Behind-the-scenes, these key personnel are joined by an experienced and professional support team.
Jeffrey Cole has been a life-long resident of the Kennebunks. He graduated from Berwick Academy in 1972 and subsequently the University of Maine Orono in 1976 with a major in Business Management. In 1980, following a brief period with a petroleum marketer, Jeff became the fifth generation of the Cole family to join the firm.
In 2001, Jeff Cole became President of the company and continues to serve in that capacity. His focus and expertise are in the areas of business, public entity and marine insurance.
Serving as a Trustee of South Congregational Church and Kennebunk Free Library, Directorships with the Brick Store Museum and Youth Education in Sports Foundation, 27 years between the Kennebunkport Fire and Kennebunk Fire Departments, involvement with many youth sports organizations throughout his two children’s lives, fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and serving on the Northeast Council for USA Triathlon, Jeff continues to stay involved and committed to the local and larger communities.
With his wife of 30 years, Kim and Jeff co-founded the Kennebunk Beach Triathlon Club in 2007, mentoring to novice and young multi-sport athletes.
James Harrison was born and raised in Kennebunk, where he graduated from Kennebunk High School in 1976. Jim went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Concordia University, Loyola College, Montreal, Quebec and a Deplome from the University of Marseille France at Aix–En–Provence.
Jim worked in the corporate sales division of Hilton Hotels before entering the insurance industry in the summer of 1984, when he joined his father’s business, Cole Harrison Agency. Jim obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1987 after being awarded the annual scholarship that is presented by the Insurance Institute for the Society for Certified Insurance Counselors.
Since returning to Kennebunk more than 35 years ago, Jim has been involved in numerous local non-profits at the Board of Directors level. Such associations include The Brick Store Museum, The Kennebunk Land Trust, The Hope Cemetery Corporation, Pack 304 Cub Scouts of America, Troop 304 Boy Scouts of America, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport Little League and Emerald Management Low Income Affordable Housing. He also served his town for 23 years as a firefighter and secretary treasurer of the Kennebunk Fire Department. Jim has also worked extensively with the York County Shelters food pantry and is registered with the Good Shepard Food Bank of Auburn.
Jim truly believes that one has an obligation to give back to the people of his/her community. Through action and commitment, he believes each of us can help make our home town better.
Jim has been blessed with 34 years of marriage to his wife Laura. Together they have raised three wonderful children (two daughters and a son).
Robert Foley was born and raised in Kittery, Maine. Bob graduated from Traip Academy and the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Political Science. Bob began his insurance career in 1977 with Allstate Insurance Company working as an auto claims adjusters, a property claims adjuster and subsequently being promoted to the Property Claims Manager.
In 1986 Bob Foley founded an Allstate sales office in Wells. In 1997, we asked Bob to join the Cole Harrison Agency, selling both personal lines and commercial insurance products. Today, Bob manages the Personal Lines Department at the Kennebunk office.
Bob obtained his Certified Insurance Counselors designation in 2002. The exam for this certificate required him to complete five rigorous training topics dealing with current insurance-related topics and risk management issues. To maintain this designation Bob attended an annual three-day training seminar focusing on several insurance related topics.
Bob is a very active community leader in the Town of Wells serving as a member of the Board of Selectmen, Charter Commission, Wells Rotary Club, Save Our Shores – Maine and many other community-focused organizations. Moreover, Bob has served as chairman and/or president of many of these organizations.
Bob defines himself as a problem solver who enjoys helping people provide financial security for themselves and their families. Bob resides in Wells with his wife Maryanne and their two sons.
John was born and raised in Wells, Maine, where he graduated from Wells High School in 1992. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Southern Maine where he also played baseball. John began his insurance career in 1999 as a claims adjustor with Progressive Insurance. He began his insurance sales career in 2005 with Liberty Mutual in the Kennebunk office. Cole Harrison Insurance was pleased to have John join our team in January 2013, where he is able to provide personal, commercial and life insurance products to clients in both Maine and New Hampshire, where he holds state insurance licenses.
Patrick Foley, son of Bob, joined the Cole Harrison management team in January 2019. A lifelong Maine resident, Patrick graduated from Cheverus High School in Portland, ME in 2006 before attending Endicott College in Beverly, MA. At Endicott, Patrick majored in Sports Management and was a walk-on for their soccer program. After completing his senior internship in basketball operations with the NBA G-League Maine Red Claws, Patrick graduated in the spring of 2010 and returned to Maine.
After three years working in the hospitality industry for local hotels and restaurants, there was an opportunity to join the agency in early 2013 as a customer service agent in the personal lines department. After spending 4 years in the personal lines role, he moved to commercial lines where he expanded his product knowledge and gained experience in the commercial marketplace.
As an agent he enjoys the problem-solving aspect of insurance and helping our clients understand the different types of coverages to best protect their homes and businesses. Patrick holds state licenses in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Texas, Florida, and North Carolina in order to better serve our clients who are seasonal residents looking to have one agent to contact for all of their insurance needs. Patrick also serves on the Katahdin Alliance membership committee.
Outside of work he enjoys playing sports and staying active, being out on the water, and skiing in the mountains. Patrick lives in Wells with his wife Whitney and their son.
David Fazzina and Our Kittery Office
In May of 2018 David Fazzina joined the Cole Harrison team, taking over the Kittery office location for the recently retired Bill Cutts, who had served the Kittery community for over 30 years.
Dave brings a diverse insurance background to Cole Harrison. Beginning his career with Liberty Mutual as a sales representative in 2007, Dave moved his way through the Liberty Mutual organization in various sales, service, development, leadership and strategy roles. Aside from his knowledge of personal and business insurance needs and requirements, Dave is an expert in life insurance holding his LUTCF and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations. Dave holds his insurance licenses in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
Dave is originally from Enfield, CT and is a graduate of Endicott College in Beverly, MA. Dave relocated to the Maine seacoast full time in 2000 and is currently a resident of Ogunquit with his wife Heidi and their two children. Dave is an avid volunteer in the Wells-Ogunquit community serving in many capacities for youth and high school athletics and also serves as a member of the Kittery Rotary Club.
Jim Wilson and Our Carrabassett Valley Office
In the summer of 1971, Charles Cole and Frank Harrison (then, partners of Cole Harrison Agency) had the vision to open an office in the newly-formed town of Carrabassett Valley, Maine. Today, nearly 40 years later, Cole Harrison still provides local service and protection to the people of Franklin and Somerset County.
In 2008, Cole Harrison selected Jim Wilson as the Branch Manager for the Valley Office. As a year-round resident of Carrabassett Valley, Jim has brought a new dimension and a bright future to that office through full-time, local sales and service.
Jim has extensive customer service experience, having worked as a life insurance and investment agent for both New York Life and Prudential, as well as a consultant in the hospitality industry. Jim, his wife and three children have made Carrabassett Valley their home since 2006.
Jim has been an avid downhill skier since the mid-Sixties, a ski instructor and, for many years, a USSA coach. Jim is also active in local organizations such as Boy Scout Troop 525, Franklin County Area Chamber of Commerce and the Flagstaff Area Business Association.
